AP Images (formerly AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive)

By July 1, 2007 AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive will transition subscribers to a more powerful, intuitive search engine from the Associated Press called AP Images, "an unparalleled resource for primary source news photos from the Associated Press."
  • AP Images contains the same primary source photo and graphic content as the AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive, but with additional content and enhanced searching capabilities, such as event and people searches linked directly to a primary search, and a brand new historical collection.
  • AP Images contains over 3.5 million photographs from the 1840s through today, with more than 3,000 photos being added on a daily basis.
  • Additionally, users can search through over 60,000 graphics, including maps, timelines, logos and graphs.
  • Subscribers have unlimited access to this unique resource 24/7 from their institution as well as remote locations.
  • All content from AP Images may be downloaded and used for educational purposes with a subscription.
  • AP text and audio will not be included in the initial transition. They intend to have those components included later this summer.
