Serials Solutions Article Linker News

We are pleased to announce that we further enable you to improve your patron's ability to access your library's resources through Article Linker. Our Referring Source Setup Guide now includes activation information for more than 50 additional resources and we have also added or updated 30 additional or enhanced link resolvers to 43,000 journal titles in 100 databases.

Referring Source Setup Guide

Our most recent update of the Referring Source Setup Guide enables you to help your patrons use Article Linker on 78 content provider sites. Whether including text or an image link on these sites, using this information will enable your patrons to streamline their search for your library's resources and eliminate wasted time trying to find full text.

We've also added three new sections to enhance your ability to identify the OpenURL/Source linking status of resources and provide an opportunity to supply feedback on new sources becoming available.

• Index - helps you identify resources that you are looking for, either by specific name or acronym


• No Support - saves you time on searching the guide by detailing which providers are known not to support OpenURL/Source linking


• Talk to Us - open the door for your colleagues by facilitating communication with Serials Solutions about instructions becoming available for a specific resource
  

You can view the Referring Source Setup Guide at in our Support Center. Updates are due to be updated bi-monthly, or more often if instructions for a provider should change.

Link resolver additions/updates

In addition to adding more information to enable you to link from more resources, we've added or updated 30 link resolvers that improve article-level access for more than 43,000 journal titles in 100 databases. These new and enhanced link resolvers ensure Article Linker subscribers and patrons are only one click away from desired content.
